Automotive News, Media & Press - Test cars I saw around Detroit

I do some work in Detroit every now and then. Well, I was driving home today on I-75 and see something coming at me that is almost completely wrapped up in those "spy covers". Looked to be close to 4th gen f-body dimensions (maybe slightly smaller) and have a very aggressive shape. With all the wraps on it, it was very difficult to make anything out, but I swear the first thing that went through my head was 5th gen F-body. Any news about a possible 5th gen yet?
And yesterday I saw 4 white vettes all lined up coming down the road, with covers on the rear and front. They looked exactly like these pics: http://www.zone.ee/CorvetteWeb/corvette-C6.htm
Pretty cool stuff, to me anyway.

GM's pretty good at keeping things secretive from the public eye.

My friends dad works at GM. He has mentioned a little bit about them planning on coming back out with the Camaro and Firebird. So it is a good possibility that this is what yuo saw. Oh and the cool thing by the way about this guy is he is qualified to carry classified information of GM. ALthough I doubt he would tell me any of it he still normally gives me updates about what all is going on. Oh yeah and he has access to the test track.

That could have been a test mule GTO you saw all cloked. Although it is supposed to be released for sale by September or October. At least that's the last I heard.
Either way, rwd, 350+ ci v8, 2 doors, and I'll be happy. Time to steal some attention back from those blue oval boys.

72Firebird, that's awesome!
Would it be the GTO? Do they cloak already unveiled cars THAT heavily? I hope it was a 5th gen f-body. It might have been a Chrysler or Ford or something for all I know though.
