I built a stroker for my caprice. its got fabed alum valve covers with no vents at all. oil leaks all over, back of the valve covers, out the intake bolts, and valve cover bolts. I cut a hole an installed a gromet and breather, now it doesent leak till i step on it. Do i need a nother breather or pcv or WTF is going on here?

I cant see a PCV doing anything bad, there is a chance it may not help but its worth a shot.

The PCV costs you no horsepower, and vents the crankcase responsibly. Add one.

Dude, you blew out the gaskets, you need to replace them, when you had not crank case vent or PVC you were blowing them out.

try putting a breather filter in each valve cover or u can do like i plan to and get a evac kit. it runs out the valve cover and goes into the header collector i can't do anything to mine right now due to clearance issues i have about half inch clearance between drivers side valve cover and booster about to remove booster and go back to manual brakes. u could also try to weld a baffle inside the valve cover if the filter is filling up with oil and dripping on ur headers i concidered this as well

If you don't have baffled valve covers, you can get splash up. If you are still building pressure, you need to figure out why. Is the crank into the oil? Do you have a bad ring? Do a compression test and post the results. A leakdown would be better. You can get some oil control problems if a lot of cylinder pressure is escaping into the block. Are other gasket leaking, or just out of the holes you added to the valve covers now? Try a PCV from the driver cover, and a breather from the pass cover. If the stroker crank is hitting the oil, you can have some oil control problems as well. Do you have a windage tray or crankscraper installed? What is your oil pressure?
