General Motors Flexes Muscle With A Message At The 2007 SEMA Show.

In addition to the concept vehicles at the GM display, General Motors introduces products and initiatives that will surely influence enthusiast projects of the near future, including a collaboration with DUB to develop a variety of appearance and performance components.

GM Performance Parts (GMPP) teamed up with GM Performance Division to give the most famous 1957 Chevy magazine car of all time – Popular Hot Rodding's Project X – its ultimate "rectification."

GMPP also introduces a bevy of high-performance engines and engine support components, led by the Anniversary 427 crate engine – a limited-edition, all-aluminum big-block based on the legendary ZL-1 engine. It is completed by the ZZ427, a regular-production crate engine that features most of the same high-performance attributes of the Anniversary 427, but with an iron cylinder block.

Also new from GMPP is an LS3 crate engine, tall-deck LSX cylinder block and a trio of "LS" engine controller kits that make engine integration easy.

oh, and the practical Suburban HD Z71 4.5L... turbo diesel :)

I wonder how much that LS3 will run for.

Oh god... DUB? Come on.. This just gets worse and worse by the minute. GM is being very smart with their strategy to win more buyers, however i think they are taking it the wrong path. IDK anymore.. We will see how this goes..

Seems A Dumb Move For Gm... "hey Guys Were Going Bankrupt So Lets Restore A Old Car That Will Have No Significance On Younger Buyers"

Good Move Guys, Your Gonna Attract Tons Of New Customers By Restoring Old Cars

I Love Gm But They Need To Focus On New Cars And New Ideas.. The Past Is Dead, Lets Move Forward Guys

Sadly enough, you're right. ^^^^^

They need to "out rice" the import nameplates, and KILL them at their own game! A good step forward is trying to infiltrate the "sport compact" market, and sponsoring/supporting the Cobalt/Redline drag racing efforts. I just hope that it is not a case of "too little, too late". :(

They need to go in the direction they are moving as well as the sport compact, also they need to bring diesel technology forward for all trucks and big SUV's along with fuel cell technology for the small car and crossover. Oh and I think they are already working on hitting all of that... Expect great changes by 2010. And you may not want to have a 427 Camaro by then if gas prices keep climbing the way they are.
