i am about to perform a motor swap SBC to BBC in a 85 chevy 1/2ton 2wd pickup, i was wondering if the flywheel is the same on these motors? also if the distributer will work out of the SBC, and also if the brackets for the alternator and power steering is the same? Any help appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Robby

flywheel is different
distributor will work unless your bbc is a tall deck
brackets won't work
radiator will more than likely be too small to cool effectively on the street.

A 14" SBC flywheel will work if you have an internally balanced big block like a 396 or 427, and the small block was older than '86 with a two piece rear seal.
