Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - SBC for Drag racing??

i almost bought a LT1 for my 94 camaro last week. yesterday my neighbor comes over and ask me if i want ot buy a Chevy SBC350 and a TH350 out of his 84 pickup, its not the original motor from the truck, (he bought the truck to put a BBc in it), I fired it up, no smoke idles perfect, he said i could have it for $500 and he would take it out of th truck for me.

Should I go for it

motor is to go in a completely gutted 94 Camaro(Drag car project)

Id go for it, high compression, wild cam, trans brake and your set lol

i'd go for it no more wires!!!! and everything is cheaper for it
