ok i got a sbc 350 in my s10 but its starting to act funky probably the old owner used to throw alot of nos in it. so i want to know who sells a good rotating assembly i want it to be high compression like from 11-13. also what kind of heads should i go with. i already tried looking around but im sure theres a place that is real good and also i want it to be 500-600hp and it has nos on it but i would love to go all motor with maybe small shot like 500 lol. well thanks in advance

A 500 shot?

Better upgrade to an aftermarket block first. Plan on spending around 2k for a block alone.

Edit - This is HUGE pet peeve of mine. This "NOS" you're referring to, is this nitrous "kit" made by Nitrous Oxide Systems? If it's not, it's not "NOS". It's a nitrous oxide. If it's an Edelbrock system, it's an Edelbrock nitrous "kit", etc.

Scat or Eagle forged bottom end both are really good. Go w/ H rods and dome (.100) pistons (forged of course) Patriot heads w/ one of their cams. they will grind you a nice roller for about 210.

What type of fuel are planning on useing, race fuel or alcohol? What is the intended use for the truck? Weight? Trans type, if it is a auto what stall? Rear gear ratio?

I plan on using race fuel alcohol would be too much of a hassle wouldn't it and the truck is just for drag racing it weights about 2600 pounds it has a turbo 350 trans with a 4200 stall and it has 411s.

Are you wanting to go with a solid roller cam? If the truck is just for drag racing, do you plan on trailering it there? If you are, alcohol would be the best way to go in my opinion. Usually you pick up about 20-25% more HP from it. Also why not go more like 15.1:1 compression and use a set of AFR Eliminator 195cc Competition port heads or if your more on a budget a set of AFR Eliminator 210cc Street heads. Also how high of rpm do you want to turn this motor?

Yeah I can go with a roller cam and yeah I plan on trailering it everywhere the reason I don't really go high compression is realiably I want the engine to last a good while be4 a refresh so what kind of rotating assembly should I use and ill stick with race fuel to keep it simple or how hard is it to convert to alcohol?

I would try to build it on pump gas. That'd be bad ass.. drag car on pump gas. And I would suggest a 100 or 200 shot of nitrous. 500 is way to much.

Your fuel cell will be able to handle things without modification, but your fuel lines need to be able to handle the alcohol. The fuel feed line needs to be a least 1/2" ID for the volume that you are going to need. Alcohol uses 3 gallons to every 1 gallon of race fuel. You will also need about 12:1 compression in order to get the motor fired on alcohol, otherwise you have to prime it on gas first. As far as reliability goes, how long do you want the motor to last? With a 355 you are going to be turning some rpm, and rpm over 7000 is were things start wearing rather quickly. To get the HP level you are wanting on race fuel is going to be tough without turning 8,000 rpm.

Yeah that is bad ass but its ezier to get power from racefuel and that 500shot is just a joke I do wanna put a small shot like 150
