Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - Suggestions

I have a 1979 Caprice Couple with a 400sbc, 650cc carb, 4.10 gear. It's been sitting for about 5 years when my dad stopped driving it and I plan on working on it this spring and drive it.

Any suggestions on what i need to do to make it an everyday driver and stuff to do so i don't have to take it into my local shop.

Plans:
oil change, new spark plugs, wd40 the valves, run compressed air through the fuel lines, fresh gas

anything else that i should do?

I highly suggest removing the distributor and priming the oiling system for atleast 5 minutes, use some lucas engine oil stabilizer too
