Kinda new to the board, and had a couple people ask about my new car for 08 so here's some info:
It's a 1994 TA that I am told was formerly the fastest LT1 powered car in the country. It currently has a 408ci Dart SBC with Callies crank, Oliver titanium rods, JE pistons, Comp solid roller, belt drive, T&D shaft rockers, wolf 4 stage dry sump, reverse cooling, maziere pump, C & S 1000 cfm blow through aerosal carb, 106mm turbonetics turbo, liquid cooler, etc...
Tranny is currently a Rossler 400 (stock case) with a chance converter, 9" rear, 35 spline axles, spool, 3.90 gear.
Stock style suspension with a tubular k-member, afco struts, lamb brakes all around, etc., etc.
I bought the car a couple months ago pretty much turn key, although not completed, untuned, and needing some TLC. The intentions for the time being are to redo the cold piping on the car, build a passenger compartment liquid cooler instead on the unit currently on the car, a new fuel cell, water cell, kirkey seats, minitub, narrow the rear end, and redo the cage to a 25.2 cert. The new set up will be with alumastar wheels with the rears being 15 X 12 with 6" BS and I will run a 28 X 10.5 (non W) slick. It has sissy bars, but I expect to dial the suspension in and remove them after I have some seat time. I plan on keeping it blow through for the begining of the 08 season, but may switch over to EFI later. (I already have 90mm throttle body, intake with rails, 160# injectors, dual bosch pumps, etc.. would only need to buy another XFI or BS3 to convert.) The car also needs to be completely rewired from scratch, and there are some other odds and ends in the plans.
All the work above is being done by Profile Racecraft, and I believe tuning will be done by Jim Filipowski (have spoken with him briefly about the car and told him I would drop it off when its ready). The car is also going to be painted in Feb. Com spring, it will be ready to hit the track.
