I have the SPS-17c2's and just installed them. The tweeters had to be wired separately (there are instruction on here on how to do it). It wasn't too bad.
I really like them. The clarity is so much better than stock, although I have found that I have to Fade more to the front to bring the sound forward.
Some experienced audio guy on here can explain that (but I think it has to do with 2 ohms vs 4 ohms).
Hope this helps,
Steve

So you got the coaxials and them wired the tweeter seperately?
I know they have components Type-S as well

I had planned on getting the Alpine SPS-170A 6 1/2's as outlined in the sticky but apparently they have been discontinued and were replaced with the SPS-17c2's.

i have the type s components but not in my WS6. i had em in my jeep cherokee and they currently sit on a shelf. they sounded great and have been thinking of putting them in so i can use my tweeter pods. the tweeters on my ID chameleons were wayyyyyyyyy to big for the pods. so i am thinking of putting the alpines up front and mounting the ID's as coaxials in the rear.
