Hey,

It would be awesome for anyone's advice. I just got a passenger side subthump stealth enclosure and tried installing it before work. But, as usual, I will need a bit more time.

My question is about fitment. I'm linking a bunch of pics on how it is fitted right now. This is the only position that the enclosure sits on the metal tab behind the fender and behind the enclosure. It sucks as you can't see it and have to do it by feel. If I pull it out any more it slides off and falls down the fender well hole. I also had to push it as far towards the back of the car in order for it to not wobble around, but doing this makes the enclosure hit the rear tab so the interior cover panel cannot snap back into place. This is frustrating as it should be so simple.

Let me know if this looks alright, and if not, what should I do? I may be a nubcake and might be missing something obvious. I did play with it for a good 15 minutes.

In any other position it does not sit (as in it will fall or tip over.) It also doesn't feel to sturdy in there if I brake or turn hard, so I am thinking I need to screw it down somehow? What did you do?

Also on a side note; is this a good grounding place? Where else could I ground it as I don't think it is the best. The large washer and nut that is seen above it looked like a good place, but I also noticed it is just connected to a metal tab support.

I'd appreciate any help I can get with this. I have yet to cut the interior panel as I do not want to until I get this thing to fit.

Thanks a ton.

my favorite ground was on the left side of the hatch latch

grounds the lights and was really easy to ground to..

But where you have now is good also

As long as its on the chasis and wont come loose, you should be good to go

I freaking love it... really. I only got a short listen but it sounded so neat. Its the smallest sub stage I've ever had too.

But I had another issue with my install again so I didn't get much play time.. I'm getting annoyed.

Yeah there is something very wrong with my install, and I think the ground is crappy... I'll sand more down and use a washer and see what happens.

I've got mine grounded in the same spot, but I used a 1.5", 1/4" bolt w/fine threads. And a couple of washers and nuts all stainless steel pushed in through from inside the wheelwell. I used my dremel tool to get bare metal on both sides of the hole, after I tightened it down I sprayed a little undercoating over and around the exsposed bolt head in the wheelwell. A lot better ground the just using a sheet metal screw! Which is what I had before.
You can also use a bolt & nut in any of the holes allready in that area.
And you might also want to sound deaden that whole area around the sub box to cut down on any vibration noises; and make a couple of mounting brackets to mount to the bottom of the box to secure it to the body.I even put sound deadening along the bottom, back, and top of the box. It might seem like overkill, but not to me.
I just got done doing all this about a month ago.

By the way, is that amp a D1100 or D800 ?
I'm running the D1600.2 for my 2 IDMAX10s.
