Stereo & Electronics - setup suggestions

i posted this in a thread earlier but thought it wouldnt get any answers so here u go

ok here is the setup im thinking about.... polk 6.5 speakers all the way around...stealth box with JL w7....sub thump amp rack... i dont know anything about amps? i want to make it bump hard so what kind of amp should i get or should i get 1 amp for the speakers and another for the sub? and what will it sound like with the stock head unit? i like the way it looks and dont rly want to change it but if i have to i will...if i get a flip up DVD player is it possible to put the stock head unit in later on if i want it back stock? let me know please.

you can always go back to stock headunit. An aftermarket headunit is almost a must, the stocker pumps out distortion like no ones business. Whats your budget on amps

Not sure if the W7 will work well in a stealth enclosure. The recommended airspace volume for that sub is 1.25ft.^3. Even my enclosures is about .7-.8ft^3.
JL recommends the 500/1 for that application so a quality 500watt RMS amp should be sufficient. The 10W7 has a recommendation of 250watts minimum and 500watts optimal power.

anyone got a suggestion on a 10" sub? and what kind of amp to make it bump

or opinions on the sub thump T-Top box?

T-top box is a well constructed box so any quality 10" sub would work well in one. You could use the W7 in a T-top box if that is what you wanted although there are many other good subs in that price range.
A couple of RE Audio SX10's would pound with the right amp. If you were going with the T-top box then you may want to consider 12" subs though. RE Audio, Adire, CDT, Audiopulse (formerly TC Sounds), and several others are slightly less money and would be comparable in performance.
