I did searches on trying to find threads like this but was unsuccessful. If anyone could point me in that direction, that would be great. If not, I was looking for help on getting a new stereo for my 01' T.A. I haven't changed anything else stereo wise so i think something flashy would just throw off the interior. Anyone know of a stereo that would fit nicely with the old trans am interior. I'm doing this mostly because of the auxillary input for my ipod, the capability of playing mp3 cd's, and possibly getting subs in the future. I know there isn't a "best", but listing your favorites would be great.
Thanks.

What do you mean by "fit nicely"? Most favorites listed are going to be single DIN units -- or did you mean "fit nicely" in another way? (like color combo, etc)

I mean, by color combo. I mean the T.A. has a pretty simple interior, the classic black and red. I don't want to throw some flashy blue led light stereo in there. Just something more classic looking but still has the modern capabilities. Also, i'll probably have to end up getting a dash kit anyways just because of the way it's set up.

I love the JVC. Very nice pics. I would definatly get that, but that is pushing my budget. I'm sure the dash kit and installation would add on to the cost of that also. I found it for $500. Anything possibly less expensive

I was in best buy today browsing parts for my future upgrade and saw a Pioneer head unit that was gray/black with some very small chrome accents. It was very classic and tasteful looking and still modern. I want to say it was between $119 and $139. You might want to take a look at that. Kenwood has a similar unit for the same price.

Eclipse makes a great HU. I had a CD5000 in my last Camaro and loved. I should have never sold it with the car. :bang:
