Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - 700+ Hp 502 Bbc??

Im going to be doing alittle trading with guy here pretty soon. He has a malibu that he claims has a 502 BBC that puts out 700HP on 87 octane. Just wondering if you guys think this dude telling the truth or trying fly one by me.

Here the specs on the motor-

502, stock bore, steel crank
gm stock ported heads, not sure which kind
.815" lift solid roller cam
roller rockers
1050 carb
9:1 forged pistons and forged rods

Sounds like it might make that at the crank, but he's probably exagerating.

I'd say with that low compression he probably exaggerating a little bit as well. Also depends on the duration of the cam. Maybe if he has cast iron heads he can run that low, but with aluminum I would say no.
