The manual should tell you what that code means... but it seems like it can't read the format of the CD. If its a burnt CD, did you burn it so it will play in your specific deck?

Has it been hot and/or humid where you live lately?
Humidity inside the CD deck will cause it to spit the CD back out.

Its is a brunt cd that I am trying to play. But some of my friends who have a 01 SS and a 99 TA their cars will play a burnt cd. The car has been in a garage for a week. It has not been very humid. I am also having problems with the cd changer in it. I take the the 12 disks changer out put cds in it and put it back in a close the door. It is suppost to show up on the display screen the words CD but it doesn't. Is their some button I have to hit to get it to play?
P.S. I got the cd player and the cd chager to work one time but no more. The code is not in the book and the cd changer is not ever registering a error number.
sorry if this does not flow right it has been a long day.
thanks for any help!

Well 1st off, are you running the stock deck or aftermarket? Please answer the same with the CD changer.
Also try a normal store bought CD and see if that works in both CD player and CD changer. Because if its having a reading error with a normal CD then you know its an error on the head unit.

I had the same problem with my deck, it needs to be rebuilt. The eye is not centered anymore therefore it is not reading the cd correctly. You can find good factory ones for about 160 dollars, but I would recommend buying a new aftermarket one. Just make sure it accepts your steering wheel controls if applicable. Me personally, I got a hold of my local radio shop and they traded me for about 170 dollars(no shipping). I hope this is what is wrong with yours.

Yes I am running a stock cd player and cd changer. If I do have to buy a afternaket cd player how will I know it will work with my streering wheel control?

Another question if it is the eye being out of alignment isn't it kind of odd that it would be out of alignment in both my cd player and cd changer? Could it be in the electronics of the cd player? But the radio works just fine.

The radio will play fine but the reasn the changer won't work is that I believe the eye has to be aligned or no cd functon is available. When running a changer your stereo still has the error code not allowing it to process any cd function.
You need to go to like Crutchfield to see which stereos will work or not.I know most will because the harness to the stereo controls are seperate of the stereo and not part of the stereo.

If you get an aftermarket deck and want the steering wheel controls to work you will need to buy an adapter for it. You can pick it up at crutchfield or best buy. It'll run you about $60.

How much is a new factory Monsoon deck with cd player and cd changer controls from a dealer? I would kind of like to keep it stock. Would doing this solve my problem?

Not sure on the cost from a dealer but check the classified section here, there are usually people selling factory decks. Ebay is another option.

Do I need to buy another stock cd player or do I need to have the eye realigned? What would you suggest?

MY cd player also flashes e23 sometimes, if I wait about 30 seconds then stick the cd in a lil bit faster it will take it and play it. The previous owner said he had it in for warrenty 3 times for the cd player.

I got it to play a real cd 2 times yesterday. So I was thinking OMG. Then I tried another real cd and e20 popped up again. Then I tried that 1st cd and e20 was all I seen. I think it must be the eye. The only thing I saw that I did was that I put the cd in with the lable parallel to the cd player.
Right now I am planning on getting the eye realigned.
thanks
