Why does the european LS1 only have 288Hp?? Could it be a more restrictive exhaust or what could it be? I hope someone has an answer to this :huh:

Exaust maybe? I have heard that over there the exaust aspect is a little more strict. Thats why a new catback for a Lambo Mercileago adds 50+hp. (!!!)

Maybe they measure rwhp? GM being a lil conservtive.

Multiply by 1.3 and that should give you the US Hp figure (Give or take a couple)
So advertised US 305fhp is 234.61 Kw (Kilo Watts) British system
As far as the rest of Europe, u have to know if Hp rating is
fhp: flywheel hp
Bhp: brake hp
rwhp: rear wheel hp
