How do you turn off the stock security system on a 98 TA?

I really would like to know...anyone!?

Using the unlock button on your remote or manually locking your doors. The power locks activate the sercurity system when used to lock doors when key is out of ignition and door is open.

i'm having problems with my anti-theft system also. right now i can't even turn on the car. is there anyway to disable it all together. need to start my car quick.

Does the security light come on when you're trying to start the car? If so, first of all try cleaning the key, strangely enough this helps quite a bit of the time.

If for some reason the chip reader in the tumbler is out you can wire in a resistor, in line, with the same value as the chip in the key. Although, this method is a little hacked together.

the securtiy light does turn on when i try to start the car. can u elaborate on that hack u talk about.

the security light is on when I get in the car most of the time...not when I put the key in..it want start and I have to wait about 3 min before it resets...it is ticking me off! How can disable the whole security system??? I'm so tired of this crap!
