Stereo & Electronics - Security Issue Please Help!!

Ok, so I just installed another engine in my car.....i used to same pcm and the same harness.....however during the swap, i lost the keys to the car. I then installed another ignition and key....tried a relearn...not sure if it was the right procedure but the car will not even crank over.....fuel pump does kick on! I can start it with a screwdriver and it will run for a few seconds and die......this tells me that the vats has me locked out.....my question is how do i reset that, everything should work now right....the new key is relearned and the vats, pcm, and everything else are the originals. Can someone please help me with this before i go nuts. If someone has a proper relearn procedure, please send it to me as well. It is a 1998 car

the security light does not flash.....it just stays lit fow a few minutes then it wil go off!

The VATS system is in the BCM. Once a new BCM has been programmed to a key it can never be reprogrammed to a key with a different resistor. You either have to get a key that fits your ignition that has the correct resistance value (15 different possibilities), buy a new BCM so it can be programmed to your key, or bypass the VATS system.
