i just bought 2 pairs of the alpine type S today and im in the middle of installing them. in the right rear speakers their is a brown wire and a red wire, which one is posistive and which one is negative? help!

All the head unit, amp, and speaker wire colors are listed in the Monsoon FAQ (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=612644) sticky at the top of the forum. There's also lots of other information like the fact that your coaxial speakers won't work well in the sail panels when connected to the factory wiring because the amp only sends bass frequencies there for the factory subs.
