well if anyone follows my other posts they would know that i came home this weekend to put a carPC in my 99 camaro. All went fairly well, ignoring some audio interference that we fixed with a new inverter. I was heading back to school today and it felt like the car fell out of gear...then i lost power steering, then my guages went to hell, and the car died. So currently im on the side of the road in my new fancy car pc waiting for a tow truck. here are the symptoms, i fear a totally trashed ecm/pcm, but i dont know...
if i click the key on i get power to all my lights, headunits, etc, and the car cranks hard but does not start. i have no display on my odometer/trip and all my guages read zero.
i checked all the fuses, and i thought it could have been some sort of short from my wiring this weekend but i am on the computer typing this thread as i sit here, so i don't think it is that....
i would love some input
--- above was posted to another forum, here are the updates:
i cut all power wires i ran this weekend for the carpc, no help
for a couple minutes a scanner was talking to the computer, the car sorta tried to fire and i had an odometer readout. Currently i have a hot pin (#5 pin on obd2 connector is hot, 7.1 volts, when it is supposed to be a ground)...
if anyone has a wiring diagram handy, and can tell me where that #6 pin leads, it would be much appreciated, if it leads to fixing the problem i'll paypal whoever helps out some cash.
