i figure you guys know best about high output alts here is my problem
-alternator on the right appears to be a factory gm 145A alt, supposedly off a 99 vette but the number (10353441) not come up. this alternator is busted on top
-alternator on the left is supposedly off a 02 vette but 110A; this (10246634) also does not come up
questions
-why doesnt gm recognize the numbers?
-which is better? something wrong with the 145's and they stoped using?
-if i tried to repair the 145A where would i get another rear cover and the part inside with the plug that is damaged
any help or direction greatly appreciated
