I like the idea of the q-logic but it takes away from t-top storage...

Subthump make the best boxes and are made of MDF. http://www.subthump.com
They're custom made and fit perfectly.

I doubt you had 4800 watts that would draw 480 amps of current. With one single bass note would have killed your battery and alternator.

You could put the box in the t-top well and put the tops in the back seat. I was a little leary about doing that myself because I wanted my storage space, but I just use the backseat now. Lay it down and it's perfect for the tops.

At 10V. At 14.4 it would draw 333 amps. Of course, that's still at 100% efficiency. To do 4800WRMS with the car running would easily require a dual alternator set-up. With the car off.....it's a whole different ball game!
wsix man, shed a little light. What amp(s) did you have? What subs took that abuse?
And on yet another note.... the Q-logic box is cr@p. I honestly have no idea how ANY subs could take 4800WRMS in that POS. I bet that thing was flexing more then the subs themselves. Go subthump and you WON'T be disappointed.

I was looking at that box. How do you like the quality?? Do the t-tops seem secure or do they move around???

Trying to attach a picture. Sorry it's so big if it works, but I also agree to give up the hatch space and just use the back seat to store the tops. It's well worth it.

Don't overlook subthump. His products are top notch. You'll be happy with any of his designs.
