a review from someone who actually drove the car without money having shoved into his pockets to praise nissan. He calls the GTR functionally ugly as well as a set of training wheels. does have some positive things to say about it though, so you can't say it's a hate video. some might enjoy

You won't get many replies in here because it speaks the truth and not some BS great number that a piece of shit expensive and ugly "supercar" posted. Thanks for sharing but this won't be very popular in my opinion. :chug:

Functionally ugly is true...but .27 is quite a drag coefficient.
I got quite a kick out of saying the GTR was training wheels for novices and the ZR1 was for experts, LOL.

The GTR is not a bad car. it's actually a great car, but for this to be the flagship of not only one company but an entire continent it's not that great. Usually cars that are embraced as being the end all be all of super cars have reallly nothing negative to be said about them i.e.: the Z06 and the new GT2 porsche

The GTR is an excellent halo car for its company. I just think the C6Z and C6R1 are better.

Anyone who listens to these idiots and cares what they have to say is rediculous...
Guys, nissan has done a good job for themselves with a GTR.. stop gettin your panties in a twist, it doesnt compare to the ZR1. Just 2 different cars.

Ridiculous
They are not doing anything different then we are doing. Depending on the driver either car could win. However, kinetically the ZR1 has more potential.

That is typically what we do here in such threads. But it works when you are scrambling eggs and have nothing else to watch.

MMMhmmm...
A proper RWD car > training wheels GTR
I can't think of a single super/hyper-car owner who has even registered a GTR (l337 version or not) as a blip on their radar.
You could have an ugly purpose-car technowonder run the damn track in under 7 minutes flat and come in at ~$60K; and it will still be dogged and absolutely dismissed for these reasons:
1. You have every prick in the world owning such a car now claiming they can do xyz
2. The car drives for you, requires mere suggestion of where you want to go
3. Requires no skill, other than writing a check to the dealer.
As a result, said technowonder owner will be left out in the cold when it comes to a lot of events (and he would likely get a very cold shoulder) and for the remote possibility he ever drive a non-safety diapered car again he will surely crash.

No one is going to think less of a person for having nannies on their car. The F430 could make a 16 yr old twat look like an F1 driver it has so many nannies on it, however; none of us are going...look at that idiot. Ppl that like this car are going to like it and the rest of us are not going to like it. Too much technology for me, but then again the same thing goes with a Ferrari or Lambo as well in my mind. I like simple engines and simple drive trains.

I love how everyone says the Z06/ZR1 but maybe 1% could afford either car on this forum. The GTR is badass

But you can turn all the nannies off in the Ferrari. I'm not sure if you can turn them off in the GTR.

I *typically* think less of car that uses a trick AWD and a good chunk of computer algorithms in order to get great times. If it can cover up mistakes left and right and have a first timer post up some very impressive numbers; I tend to think considerably less of the car.
Why? A person should strive to improve their skills be it drag, autox, or road track. But if theres enough safety-nets to cover up a good chunk of mistakes, then how can a person learn? Learning comes through experience, both success AND failure.
Don't get me wrong however, I <3 technology, but it should augment the underlying skills, not replace (which is my biggest bone to pick with the GTR's; it'll make supposed supermen out of joe q publics). If it had mechanical diffs, conventional 6 speed manual, and just ABS, I'd be salivating at it.
Haha, there is such a thing as too much technology, my daily driver is a perfect example of a technogidget wonderland; and I couldn't even tell you what a 1/4 of the acronyms stand for.

AWD Nanny. :jest:
The funny thing is, I can see Nissan tuners like Smokey Nagata taking OFF the AWD for either a super strong RWD or a full-blood racing setup without all the damn electronics asking what temperature the cappucino in the front cup holder needs to be at...:D

I love how everyone says the Z06/ZR1 but maybe 1% could afford either car on this forum.Well, being among that 1% (though I'm sure the number of those among us here that can afford either car is higher than that) I can say with some certainty that I too would also take the Z06/ZR1 over the Skyline GTR.
Same goes for the GTR.Also true...nutswingers,:swing:wannabees and worshippers :hail: come in all shapes and sizes I guess. :)
