British sports car maker Keating revealed its new supercar today and also revealed details of a track car that could break world speed records.
The fledgling company chose St George's Day to unveil its two-seater Keating SKR - a low-volume sports car that will use a naturally-aspirated Chevrolet V8 engine and develop 404bhp and 400lb ft torque.
All models are rear-wheel-drive with power going through a five-speed manual gearbox. It's on a spaceframe chasis and weighs just 1190kg. Each car will be built to suit individual customers' specifications and prices have not been announced yet.
Keating will also offer a bored-out 500bhp version, along with supercharged 520 and 650bhp options, and is planning track derivatives that use twin-turbos and a lighter, carbonfibre chassis.
These models, dubbed TKR, have achieved 1600bhp in dyno testing and the British company says it's these that will challenge for world speed records in the near future.
