Stereo & Electronics - mtx thunder 8500?

anyone heard these in person? or any reviews on them? I haven't been able to find real reviews for the sub and I might be getting a 15" in the sledgehammer box on trade for something else but I haven't heard these in action or seen any reviews.

I have heard one or two peoples opinion saying these are pretty close to a 12w7 ? is this true or an overstatement.

any help is appreciated

I haven't heard an 8500, but I heard a 9500 single 10" in an s-10 before. I couldn't believe how loud it was for one 10"! I put a single 10" L5 solo baric in my sister's truck and the 9500 10" was wayyyyy louder. I assume the 8500 isn't that much less than the 9500, so it should be pretty loud with the right power. Keep in mind, though, that 15's don't usually give you the best SQ.

yeah ive heard 8500's but id compare them more to the W6V2 and compare the 9500 to the W7. They are pretty loud

I have the MTX T9510 at $329.00. MTX T8510 at $219.00.
For subs in that price range there are still alot of other options.

but if I were still able to get that 15" 8500, Kee what would you recommend as far as an amp goes to power it?

mtx makes good shit.....but competition is stiff now-a-days.
