The car actually doesn't look to bad, and i think the back of the car looks pretty good for a wagon. I wonder how long until someone makes a V-Wagon...

Wow, that's really hot!

I drove a new CTS (with the direct injection/VVT 3.6L V6) the other day, car is AMAZING!

Imagine a V?! LSA with the same style hood and exterior panels like the V, that car would be absolutely insane. Even if they don't make a V, i hope GM atleast makes a V concept.

Car looks great, station wagons are probably going to get really popular again with these high gas prices. Offers great practicality

Its nice to see Caddy offering such a wide range of vehicles from the CTS... I dunno about this one though. I love the coupe, but I'm on the fence about this one. I think Chrysler did a better job pulling off the sporty wagon with the magnum. JMO

Hello - Caddy is wondering if anyone will buy this car if they change the letters on the deck lid?

My wife drives a 2004 SRX - Designed to carry people, dogs, and stuff. How does this new car differ from her 2004?

It makes the SRX look like complete crap, the new CTS is a great looking car. And the difference is the SRX is a mid-size crossover SUV, and this is a CTS Wagon. Which im sure you already know that, but the way things are going now i see more people taking a look at this wagon than the SRX. Don't get me wrong i have always liked the SRX, but nothing that Cadillac currently builds can stand up to the CTS in looks. The SRX is getting redesigned though, so it may not be long till we see what lines it got from the CTS.

Um, but "sport wagons won't sell in the US" - which is why we don't have the G8 Sport Wagon.

Gotta love having a complete and total schizo at the helm. :eyes:

Do you want a wagon or does it need to be a Sports Wagon. Then what is a Sports Wagon?

Ford - Dodge - GM - Honda - Toyota - Mazda I am thinking have all made wagons.

Dodge even put a Hemi in thier wagon. Is that sporty enough? None of these folks make wagons or plan on making wagons in the future.

Jake urged me to buy a Mazda 6 wagon. Wheels 18" and dark windows doesn't look bad. It's not fast. The engine is 3.0 180 cuin or so. That's not fast but it does handle well.

The Americans won't buy wagons - Americans aren't practical people. A wagon is practical.

Back to my wifes ride. She likes it. It has three seats. It will carry the dogs. It's not fast but she likes it. Folks that have been married a few years will understand that comment.

I agree with most of your post. Especially the part I quoted.
Enter my wifes Equinox...She loves it.

I personally like wagons, but ruin the CTS by offering a Wagon version.

I don't know about you guys, but I practically applaud just about anyone who hot-rods a station wagon! I think it's pretty wicked hearing an old roadmaster or Magnum V8 with a loud exhaust and a nice w/t combo.

It's one of those cars that is so rarely muscled-out that the ones that do get the treatment are a guilty pleasure to behold.

I like the practicality of wagons, and so do many older Cadillac buyers, so I say why not.

SUV's are a dying breed, so wagons might be what people turn to for people/gear hauling... plus the g8 wagon and cts wagon give consumers a broader range than all these FWD crossovers...
