I have a chance to buy a 2007 6.0 truck motor with alum heads,which I would like to use in 66 nova or 78 malibu.The motor has variable valve timing which I know nothing about,can I run a standard cam or aftermarket cam or what other problelms will I have with this motor?

yes u can run ls3/l92/ls7 gen 4 cams
they are availble from many sponsors, if the block u have has 823 casting heads, then u have a LY6, a 6.0 with L92 heads
