I can't accredit the info, but here is what I have heard...

-2005 Mustang comes out in August of 2004
-4.6 3 valve heads
-Hoping to hit 350 crank hp
-In crash testing phase as we speak
-Will look like 90% of the show cars from last year, they will have different taillights and the front hood will not have as big of a lip

350 crank hp?

And I was worried!
Well, let's see how heavy they are and the gearing they come with.

yea, its a sweet-looking car. if i was in the market for a new car (and i couldnt afford a C5 or a z06), id get one :D. 350 flywheel hp is some great numbers too, compared to the current GT

My buddy's shop here in Dearborn Heights does the pre-crash test prep on the '05 Mustangs. He has a bunch of them. I'm going to try to sneak a few pics.

I heard there were 15 lined up for crash testing.

I guess they have TWO intake valves.

Pics please.

and PSJ, they are supposed to have the same setup as the trucks. Two intake valves, and one exhaust.

PSJ- I'll find out as much as possible about them especially the motor. I'm not sure if my boy will let me snap any pics. If not, I'll pump him for all the info I can. Are these GT models or Cobras you're referring to?

i would say they must be GT's. i saw in an article somewhere that they would have 500 or so hp and that must be the cobra

I read spy reports that said the real car will be very bland in appearence in comparison to the showcar. Its going to lose a lot of the frills. The cobra will be the closet to the concept though

I haven't talked to my buddy yet, but he did say last week that the '05 Mustang looks nothing like the showcar. That figures. Way to shit your pants again Ford. Anyway, I'll find out some details. Hopefully I'll get a few pics.
