.

Every combo must be checked when you get close to max.

You should check evrything out like already stated. I believe you want .080 inch clearance. You should degree the cam then check the clearances every 2 degrees over a 16 degree area, to be sure.

It really all depends on how much the heads get machined down, if the block was ever decked, and push rod lengths. Here http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/PDFs/Crane%20cams%20Degreeing%20a%20cam.pdf is a great link to understand better.

Generally it is .080 on the intake and .100 on the exhaust. To check clearance follow this link, it'll explain the proper way to check clearance.

I can't see where you would remotely have a problem.

Good links to follow......and BTW, duration and LSA have just as much to do with PTV clearance than valve lift alone.

You may not want any more lift with those heads. get them flowed and then decide, bigger isnt always better. Invest in good heads before anything.

thats exactly what i decided. I am kind of leaning towards the dart iron eagle 200cc with 64cc chambers. Anyone have theses?? good/bad?? I have a set of manley pro flow 2.02 intake valves laying around so now all i would need are a set of exhaust valves for the bare set of heads.

I just recived my camshaft kit today from comp, its an XE274H 230 236 .490 .490 on a 110lsa. Reason being that when i pulled my heads i noticed a concaved lifter and a cylindar not firing, i guess the valve wasnt opening at all. Several people told me that it swept the cam, and that the cam is no good.

Also does anyone know the accuracy of the comp cam's quest 6 engine dyno software package. Because when i put in the specs with the XE274H cam/ dart iron eagle heads and its comming up 576 hp@7500 rpm and 483 ft/lb @ 5000 rpm. I really dont see how this is possiblle but the odd thing is that i put in the specs for my hc 2000 z28 and it was within 10 hp (flywheel). It gave me 515 hp which the car put down 440rwhp on a dynojet. Car has stock rear M6.

Make sure every figure in compquest is set exact. That includes weight of car with driver, and all other specs. Its pretty good to use to put together a base for what type of parts you want and what cam will work good with those parts.

Is the 200cc intake runner too big or should i go with the 180cc.
