Stereo & Electronics - window problem!?!

ok my driverside window quit working a while back and when i push the button to make it go down i can hear a clicking noise under the dash?! does anyone know y it might be doing that?

The relay for the window motor is bad, lol.

That's quite interesting...since there is no relay for the window motors. They get power from the BCM through the retained accessory power circuit (powers the radio as well). The driver's side has the express down module but otherwise it's straight wiring through the switches to the motors.

Its probably the express down module you are hearing. When the window motor goes bad and the window is not running, things are quiet enough so you will hear the click it makes. Normally, the noise of the window coming off the weatherstripping happens at the same time and is much louder, so you don't even notice it.

Try putting power directly to the window motor to see if it is the motor or the express down module.

AutoTrix makes a driver side kit with express down module for just a little more than a new module if that is the problem. Soon to be sold at ws6 store.
