Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - Help with regulator for my 650 hp sbc1

I have a 434 sbc with about 650 hp and will be spraying 250 shot of juice my question is what regulator should i use. I have a A1000 fuel pump but dont want to spend the 150 for the matching regulator. Question 1 can i use a regualtor with 3/8 ports or is that too small and question 2 what do you guys recommend. Thanks

Hell, run dual cheap Holly's. Guys with a lot more power use them. I use them for my N2O.
