Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - engine question

My buddy blew his Chevy 5L TPI motor. the guy that is doing the work is getting a 350 ho crate motor and putting the intke manifold and tpi on the 350. My question is will that really work or will it go boom?

Which 350 HO crate engine? Some of them have Vortec heads and you'll need the Vortec TPI intake from Scoggin Dickey to make it work.
