Just pulled te heads off my '89 Suburban. The motor was nothing special, but it had a pair of aluminum heads w/ canted valves. All they have is a serial number on the exhaust flange, no GM ID number. Any ideas how I an find out what these things are?

I may be a little off on this because I have seen them in quite a while. In the late 90's there was a company called Canfield that I believe was well known for SBC canted valve heads. I will see if I can find anything and let you know.

I did a search for canted valve heads also known as SPLAYED valves. Apparently Brodix, CFE, GMPP, ect makes the splayed heads for SBC.Since we aren't sure what year the heads were put on there I would get a pic of the heads and start comparing them until you find something close and go from there.

ur probably getting them mixed up with some trickflow heads.. canted valve heads cost around 5 grand with all the hardware and need special pistons intake etc...get some pics up of them

.
As said, I highly doubt anyone put a true canted valve on a suburban. Top dollar piece. Pic's needed.

Here's the pics. No markings other than the serial number and the "X31203" stamp.
