I asked over in suspension and havn't really got a good answer.

I am putting a fab 9 in the turbo ta. I got the rear all apart and figure its a good time to finish the rear suspension off.

The car had bilstein struts and hotchkis 1 inch drop springs. I know the drop is bad, and i believe the spring rate is 140.

Speed incs website says 275 springs for drag, im guessing those are for the fronts.

My question is what spring to run in the rear, and will the rear qa1's really help out, or are the bilsteins ok if on a good drag spring.

I know alot of people run stock springs in rear, and some run v6. If thats the best way i will get it.

I tried a quick search but didn't see a clear answer.

Its an option. If its way better then oem for drag then id order. Not sure about the 150 spring's for drag since stockers are 114.

Stock oem V8 springs will work fine in the rear. It would be better to have a adjustable shock on the car for drag racing if you have the money to swap yours out.

I was thinking about this a while ago and decided to go with dual airbags with stock springs so I could adjust it for what the car needed.

I ended up getting the stock v8 springs. 114 spring rate and stock ride height has to be better then the 1 inch drop 140 spring rate hotchkis setup i had.

I also ended up getting the competition engineering drag shocks for the rear. This setup comes highly recommended from speed inc after i picked all there brains for a lil while. I was going to buy qa1 f's but will give these a shot.

In the front i will get the 275 or 300 pound springs and qa1 r's probably. THis is my drag car but its not super lightweight or all out drag yet.

Thanks for all your input. Chris
