Stereo & Electronics - installing sub question help and advice please

my firebird doesnt have monsoon and still has the stock headunit....i was planning on buying a 10" sub (rockford fosegate punch probably) a amp and a driver side stealth box...what else am i going to need? and this will work with the stock headunit?

You need an amp, amp install kit and a line level converter. I actually have all of the above including the enclosures and subs if you want a package put together.

To expand on this a little:

If I've got the amp install kit and line level converter, where is the best place to get the switch/signal from so the amp turns on and off with the radio?

I just installed my system in my 99 z28, use the RAP power wire - yellow wire in black connector. Works out perfectly. I also got the input for the converter from the back of the head unit. Thanks to whitebird00 for the info.
