scoggin dickey has a few shotblocks that are ls3/l92 based...

i do not doubt a 416 will be a screamer.. i think the one thing these motors are lacking are after market intakes

550/505..... 10.33@132@3600lbs. NA w/only 6-8 shakedown passes before I sold the car.

Great motor!

Why are you anticipating high heat and using chrome rings? I haven't seen 'em used in anything other than circlejerker engine builds and understand they'll cause accelerated cylinder wall wear.
Looks like a good combo, haven't seen many running a solid roller LS - care to share general specs?

I might have to use that in my sig as a quote

By "circlejerker", I'm referring to dirt track racers, not perverts :D
Chrome is good in extreme heat and low oil applications, but they're tough to seat and are tough on cylinder walls. I've seen Hellfire rings used with success in high nitrous/boost apps.

The reason for the Chrome rings... BIG shot of nitrous.
The only spec's i didn't give were "cam specs" thats because i dont know what they will be. Once the heads are flowed and cylinder perssure in calculated then they should be able to figure the cam specs...i think.

Click on the link in my signature. 9.8s standing on the brakes at the 1000 ft. mark. Easy 9.50s on a full pass and I hadn't even gotten it broken in or dialed in. It's for sale too.

My builder recommended Hellfires when I was looking at a big shot nitrous build, he said I wouldn't have to worry about accelerated bore wear as much as with chrome.
How big of a shot?
