So im gonna run em in my T/a vid will be posted up to tonite prolly around 3 or 4am lol. Im full bolts ons, DRs and the camera guy will prob be in my car. oh btw its from a dig to 120 then from 30 - 130.

If you have headers and such and the sti is just running 3 higher on the boost then stock I think you should take him up top. If that mustang hung with him though then that mustang moves pretty good, they're pretty good fights with stock for stock fbodys

I know that type of guy. I ran across a scrawny dude in a red modded STI (with a little dog, thats all Im going to say) when I was out looking for a race or two with my Cobra. Needless to say, this guy was actually talking crap to me while we were sitting at a light................so I put about 45 cars between us when the light went green. Never came up to me after that. BUT he said he wont upload it because in the beginning of the race you can see his license plate. and he said he doesnt want the cops showing up at his house. SO he wants to take off his tag and run again? whateva I told him ok. Also he wants to get his new BOV, he thinks its gonna make up for that 4-5 cars i put on em from a dig.

No...he told me that his car wasnt running right because his dirty air filter caused his car to throw a check engine. And that his new BOV should allow him to run 5 psi more. :eyes: So, I guess in the next couple days were gonna do some daytime run's. After he puts on the new BOV....His exact words were, "the only reason you beat me is cuz my bov isnt lettin air out rite so i cant boost as fast, and my speaker box is really heavy so ya."

a bov does not allow more psi to my knowlage at least and either way he needs way more than a bov

I've never seen an Evo driver that wasn't a ricer. Its hard not to be a ricer when you're driving a riceburner.

BOV excuse is bullshit. A turbo setup doesn't even require a blowoff valve. Tell him to take off the air filter and run it again... Make sure to put up some paper too!

07' STi's have longer gearing and are supposedly 13.0-13.2 cars and respond to upgrades fairly well. I stomped one with my 04' Sti stg.2 w/ stg.1 exedy clutch.

whats the point in racing people like him anyways? his first car that has over 200 hp, feels like its fast because it has boost.....blah blah. This proves that beating someone that arrogant does not change anything in his mind because he will always have an excuse for why his car sux. There are plenty of "ricers" that are not like that and there are plenty of people driving fbodies, stangs..etc that talk it up when they get their first "fast" car. i hate to get into this but i have a built sti with the jdm motor and 22psi and alot of other shit and wrx's are shitty for racing besides autocross and everyone knows that 1/4 mile cars are american and like i said i have one that dynoed a little over 480hp at the wheels so and it is quick but my camaro will take it but really i dare u to race any american car off the line and if u can slip the cluch right u will easly take him but if not he will eat your ass alive and with your mods my pretty much stock camaro will take you.Mike

Subies are well built but it takes a little more dinero to get them really going then an Evo. If you can get a 98-99 Impreza 2.5 GT and swap a built STi engine and if you can a the 6sp too, it can handle 600+whp stock !

I guess they have the idea of having half the cylinders and being as fast or faster without the weight, which can be done 1000 times over. But Ricer's need to understand their cars and have a plan that going to work for making it faster and not just throw a CAI, Fart can, and Pulley,which adds up to about 10hp over stock altogether and think there fast cause it sounds like its fast !

Torque is a killer, and most v8's(especially the LS/LQ series engines) have it !

Extremely fun to drive, Yes ! It's hard to stay out of boost so your gas mileage suffers, believe me ! The boost gets addicting ! I loved me STi, but my best mpg highway was 26mpg. normal mixed driving I averaged 17-21 mpg on 91 octane only.
