I have a audiobahn 10" in a stealth box right now that specs at 28hz for its lowest frequency. It hits good highs and mids but just can't get very low. I know a 10" wont dip down like a 12 but I was wondering what is a great 10" for low deep bass?

IMO, no matter what sub you have you must have it in a enclosure that supplies the optimum cu.ft. of airspace for your sub to get the deepest bass response.
A stealth box is only going to supply your sub with around 0.5 cu.ft. of air space, so you need a sub thats optimized for use in around 0.5 cu.ft. enclosure.
IMO, a Fi Q10 would work great!

You can go 2 directions for this question. You can get a new sub, or you can build a box that is optimum for the audiobahn. Your choice. You can build a box for pretty cheap after you have done your research for calculations. You can make a 10" sub hit down low and hard, just need the optimim enclosure for it, as stated above.

I have the RE Audio line of subs available. The SE10 does well as does the SX10. Similar to the Fi Q series which are also very nice subs.

I have a Toby Ranger bandpass box. The enclosure is outfitted with (2) Toby 10" subs. All I can say is, "WOW". Phenominal what (2) low power 10" subs can do in an enclosure that are optimized for each other!

Thread revived. Hmmmmm.. Channel 8 news recently had a small interview with founder / owner of Toby Loudspeakers here in Fort Worth, Texas. There is a youtube clip on the link above.

1. Your box is too small.
2. Super low frequencies, like 28 hz, are barely even audible and virtually completely irrelevant to what you're trying to accomplish. So that rating doesn't really even have anything to do with your goals.
3. If you want the most possiblr SPL, you are going to need a ported (preferably slot or flared square) box tuned to ~30 hz. It will most likely need to be around 1.5 cubes. I don't know the exact peramiters of that sub.
4. If you don't have that kind of room, a sealed box around 1 cu. ft. should due.
5. If you have an amp with a subsonic filter, you might want to lower it a little. No lower that 25-30hz. Any lower would be completely pointless and just cause added stress to your sub/amp.
6. Cancellation is a low frequencies worst enemy, so place it well.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more ?s.
