Stereo & Electronics - Alpine Type R+M500 install questions.

Hi,

I've never wired up anything like this before, and need a bit of help.
I've finally got my sub and amp :), and I have a few questions.

Has the stock HU got a preamp output?

Should I use a RCA line level or speaker level inputs?

I am a bit confused as to what gauge cable to use for the power supply, as the manual isn't very clear.
I see before a meter long I need to add a distribution block, and to up the size of cable, to what size?

I thought the sub and amp would come with wireing stuff, but I guess not.

Do I need Alipine stuff, or can I just get the parts from my local store?

I guess parts I still need are:

Batttery lead + side terminal
Ground lead
Line level / RCA extension cables
Remote turn on lead
Speaker wire (Also what gauge?)

Get a power kit that is 8 guage, which has a fuse holder. Then get a line output converter. If the kit you get has rca's, use those, if not, get some 17 ft rca's. For your power you can run it down your passanger side, where there is a grommet behind the pcm under the hood. You can grab the output of your monsoon amp if you have monsoon, or at the radio if no monsoon. Then hook your rcas to that. For your turn on, behind the radio you can grab the ignition turn on that powers the h/u. I believe the color is yellow. I used 12 guage speaker wire, but 16 would also suffice. The brand of this doesn't matter, but i usually stick with a higher quality liek stinger, metra, kicker, etc over the walmart specials.
