Just installed the $215 eBay Drilled-Slotted Brakes
Needed a set of brakes, as the stock rotors were warped and had already been turned once. Bought the "cheap" drilled and slotted brakes off eBay. Here are my impressions:
Once I got everything back together and drove it the first time, I nearly put the stockers back on it. I was getting some pulsation through the pedal, some slight wheel shake, and a low rumble. Pissed off, I e-mailed Brakelabs (the seller) and I explained the situation. The guy responded with this message:
"Thank you for choosing Brakelabs. The rotors are new zinc plated and will require a break-in period. Please give the rotors a little more time to get embedded properly. Give it about 300-500 miles. If it does not go away by this period, please give us a call..."
I figured that was a load of bullshit, but since I had to drive to Vegas and back this weekend, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. The drive out there late Friday night was uneventful, with no stop-and-go traffic. Obviously, not much changed with the brakes. Drove around Vegas a little runing errands for dear ol' mom, I noticed a slight improvement. After driving home today, the pulsation and wheel shake are both completely gone, and all that's left is the rumble near the end of hard stops, although it's much quieter.
After 600 miles, brake feel is now pretty much same as stock. Stopping power is improved over the warped stockers.
So far, so good. All I'm really hoping for is for these to last. We live on a hilly, windy mountain road that is REALLY hard on brakes, and I'm hoping to not have to replace warped rotors again.
All in all, not too bad of an experience!

When installing brakes, it's important to burnish them in properly. And clean them prior to installation - when I get brake rotors from parts stores and even Nissan ones (I work at a Nissan dealer), they're usually covered in some sort of grease.
I have Brakelab rotors on my GT. Now ive had them on for 2 years and they are warped. I think i put probably 15-20k on them MAX. GARBAGE! I plan on turning them an seeing if they still make that rumble noise, oh an mine have a nice squel to them as well.. They suck.........

That does suck. I hope I do better than that because 20,000 miles is six months for me.
I thought you couldn't slotted and drilled rotors turned.

Just bought the BrakeLabs slotted/drilled brakes for 194 shipped to my door. Myself and my buddy who is an ASE technician at Carmax(we both work there) put them on and they are great. There didn't seem to be any grease but we prepped them correctly anyways and we painted the calipers black.
Overall, for 194 for the brakes, and a pizza and some beer for his troubles, I think it is an amazing deal. I really believe it's all in the install, it seems to be a quality product and I've had em for like 1000 miles now. Granted, things could go wrong eventually but really for the price I paid I am ecstatic considering what a shop like Midas would charge.

Glad to hear you're having the same experience as me!
I did save my stock rotors, just in case, though!
