Default very rare corvette C5 magnessium wheels restored with tires

I have a set of very nice C5 vette magnessium wheels. I dont know if many on here know much about these wheels but they are very rare. They are going for between 250-400 per wheel without center caps. I put four brand new centercaps on which cost me around 150$. I had all the wheels proffesionally painted bronze but I kept the centercaps original color. tires on the front are 255/40/17 and the rears are 295/35/18.Front tires are in good shape but the rears will need to be replaced soon. I would go with a 40 series tire on the back anyways though. My price is $1000 firm and if you have anything negative to say about the price please refrain I dont think my price is unreasonable at all. I could split this all up and sell the wheels for $250 each centercaps for at least $100 and resell the tires for at least $100. I would Like to sell them as a set, They are beautiful wheels but it is time to move on to something else.

Here are the mag's on my white 93 vette, BTW these look awesome on Fbody's!:

might consider trades.

forgot to add these are 17x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear and each wheel only weighs around 10 pounds a piece. These wheels are very rare

thanks man they look great on your car too! I love how these look on the 98+ F-body's.

I really need to move these things this is an exceptional deal.

I have a correction on the weight of these wheels. The front 17 inch wheels weigh 17lbs each and the rear 18's weigh 19-20 each. That is LIGHT!

I love the refinish you did. What color did you use? I've been thinking of reshooting mine a metallic silver, but looking at that darker bronze color on yours, they luck f'n sick!

no the factory finish is the finish on razor_back's wheels in his picture. They brighter and have a goldish tint to them.

You can see in my pics the centercaps are a different color, The color of the centercaps matches the factory finish. I didnt paint them b/c I bought them brand new and didnt want to paint $150 center caps.

Thanks man ya it took alot of work to redo them and I sure dont like sanding on $300 a piece wheels LOL. I actually used a bronze metallic wheel paint from dupli-color with the same dupli-color wheel paint clear coat. Most parts stores sell that kind of wheel paint but I had to order the bronze color, I got the paint from O'Reilly's where I work. They turned out awesome though and I am very pleased with them. There are supposed to be small yellow stickers that say magnessium on each wheel but I posted on the corvette forum and called numerous wheel restoration companies to buy the stickers but aparently no one sells them.

I can garuntee anyone interested in these wheels it is a great deal and you wont be disapointed. I know you can buy a new set of aftermarket zr1's or z06's for around this price but these wheels are ultra rare and are always going to be worth decent money and they are easily half the weight of aftermarket wheels.

Yeah, mine still has the yellow "magnesium" emblems on them. It doesn't look like a sticker though, it looks to be painted on somehow...now sure, I'll take a better look. These wheels also require the rubber hub gaskets on the inside. Luckily mine were in perfect shape when I got them. Good luck with your sale. These are really light weight wheels as you stated above. I've thought about changing wheels on my car, but they've kinda grown on me over time. I may refinish them as I have a couple of spots where the powder coat has chipped off along the edge that I'd like to fix.

They could use a small spacer (1/4-1/2) but they fit fine as they are. Some people like the tires to fill all the way out to the fender edge like 11 inch wheels do. As low as my car is, they'd rub the fender lips if they were spaced out. HTH...

No problem man post as many as you need to! I dont have any pics of them on an fbody, do you have one from the front corner maybe?

after looking at it it does look like they are fairly inset a little a 1/4 inch spacer should bring it right out to the lip. I can include a pair of 1/4 inch spacers with these wheels I have a couple sets around the garage Im not using.

the yellow magnesium words on each wheel is a sticker but it is applied below the clear coat so it should be smooth and not feel like a sticker.

If anyone has any questions ask away! I would like to move these things, I might be putting them on ebay soon so act fast.
