The seats arent as bad as you would think they would be, they have the black leather covers with the padding in them, pretty comfortable for a race seat and they are pretty light. I think the tracks actually weigh more than the seats do. I want to get a cage put in so I can run the 5-point harnesses. Right now I just have the lap belts from Simpson.

man thats coming together nicely! i really want to just rip out my interior and get rid of everything i dont need. but id regret the lack of AC in the summer and that steering wheel is tempting... id love a nice grant signature series on it. but an airbag does seem nice too..

Somewhat sunny today so I took some pictures of the car since its still a little cold to actually work on the car. Anyways since the car doesnt have any "real" plates on it, its still dirty just from sitting since November, but doesnt look too bad in pictures.

"did you order the seat tracks from summit or are they modified stock ones? im probably going to pick up a set soon. shed another 60-70 pounds. this fat girl needs to loose more weight "

It was a combination of the modified stock tracks + the summit sliders + some steel bars as far as the tracks go, but the sliders are worthless, only give about an inch of slide. I may redo them if i get desperate for weight.

"come on who needs A/C when you can take the T-Tops out and cruise around with ur mullet blowing in the wind"

Exactly, figured this is just a summer car anyways, so I limo'd out the side windows too since i'll be driving with the windows down and ttops on, the cops arent going to know. Although, probably get a ticket for something else, especially when I go true duals

What do you think the raceweight would be now?

You have really got lots out of the thing. I am local to you so when you plan hittin the track next post it, I need to see this with my own eyes.

Not sure what the raceweight is now, still have to pull the ABS system, EVAP, door bars, heat shields, and I havent even gotten the cut off wheel out yet. Trying for 2800 pounds when its all said and done.

Definatly will post when I hit the track, couple things I want done before I go, will need a cage built and installed, weld prostars-skinnies and drag radials, do the 847 cam, and install a 150 shot of nitrous. Also would like to throw a set of 3.73s or 4.10s in to hold me over till i can do a 9 inch if i can find a rear end cheap or the gears.

Would be cool to have someone video tape it, I dont think its going to last too long with 132K miles! Should be some cool carnage!

You don't need a cage AND SFCs. Just get the cage.

Didnt really do too much as far as performance wise today, but I did paint my billet grill black to match the rest of the car and gave the z/28 a much needed bath. First time clean since November! lol
