if cutting a thin sheet of metal is what's holding you up. check in to producing it with a wire EDM.
they can remove as little as .015" at a time, and are extremely accurate. of course, I'm sure you already know this..

i am going to run a 99 pcm its not the 411 but will run all the 411os's the reason i am using this pcm is because i got the pcm and harness and maf and coils for 100$.. i would be able to swap out for a slightly faster 411 but most say that there is no noticable diffrence.

I really hope you can start producing something, as it'll give some of us on a super tight budget a chance to gather the needed funds and kind of insure that you'll still be doing it down the road

And while I understand that the Opti does the signaling on the LTx, I was more interested in what you did to have the GEN III computer recognize the signal the Opti was producing, as from what I understood that was the biggest hurdle. Either way, glad it's been ironed out!

Very interested. I went LTCC a long time ago but still have problems with the optical portion of the opti.

you need to get that set up out to one of the 'big dog' lt1 guys and let them tinker with it and see what it really can offer, then, it worthy, mass produce it, an sell tons of them... without a solid testimonial, not enough people will want to take to risk to make it worth your while...... needless to say if this set up takes off and is proven to be the way to go, i'll be real quick to jump on the band wagon..

Looks like this still uses the optical part, or am I missing something?

yeah only problem i see is that no one sells JUST the optical pickup... the pin out is the easy part for me to understand cause they use the same sensors, how are you getting crank position though, PM me details because i dont want you puting info out in the open for people to steal. im willing to do this as soon as possible since all i need is about 800 and my car will be up and running and ready to tune.

haha Nevermind, was reading about that other new setup that uses a reluctor wheel on the front of the crank and accidentally replied to wrong thread.

Yeah, that sounds like the best way to do it. You could send him the Opti, have him mod it, and send you instructions on the repin process. I already have access to a set of coils, I'd need a PCM, and a newer non splined drive opti. I have a few things up my sleeve I'm working on.

I think I have pin drive opti laying at home. Higher res signal doesn't work though.

Same, I have one sitting in my garage. I wish I would have kept the complete LT1 engine I bought to part out. Now, I'm missing the Opti and heads. Oh well....
