I put my car on the mustang dyno at PSI motorsports to see what she puts down as a baseline. I ended up making 365 rwhp @ 6400 rpm and 355 rwtq @ 4500 rpm. I have a stock airbox still so I pulled that and dynoed it again. it put down 389 rwhp @ 6400 and 366 rwtq @ 4500 rpm. amazing the stock airbox is costing me 25 rwhp.
im just gonna quick copy and paste my mods list from my fquick site.

overall I am VERY VERY pleased with how it runs. I was asked what I thought it was going to make before I dynoed it I said 300-310 rwhp. you can imagine the shock I was in when I was told i just laid down 365 rwhp.
and finally some pics of the fun:
oh and I would like to say thank you to everyone who told me it was a mismatched combination, it would never idle, it would peak power too high, it wouldn't operate power brakes, it would be impossible to tune. you made my day even more enjoyable knowing I proved so many wrong. most of these people don't post regularly on this site, but they read it. thanks guys
what about the ones that told you the stock airbox was costing you alot of power? jk, nice numbers. post up some times when you get them.
oh I knew it was costing me power. how much, that is what I didn't know.
our local dragstrip opens up march 1st. I have 4.10s ordered and will hopefully have some kind of CAI in there. 11s all motor or blow it up trying. cant wait
those are some good numbers. but how could you do all those mods with a Stock intake box?!?!?! wouldnt a CAI be first on everyones list but now you need an LS Lid!!!

Here's what confuses me... You are running pretty much stock heads, no porting done really and are pushing over .600 lift but you power band just keeps going up. I'd think that with stock heads you'd hit a plateau around 6100~ due to not being able to flow enough CFM. Our stockers only do like 215cfm for .500-.600+. Still though it's really great for cam and exhaust with a couple bolt ons I'm also surprised on the 25hp restriction that the stocker imposes! Is that power band so smooth due to how the Mustang Dynos work?
I think most of that +25 gain was from the !belt mod though
congrats on the numbers. so much for the "that cam is way too big" theory. incredible for a mustang dyno and a stalled auto. with the 4.11s, i dont see 11s being a problem. the 10 bolt on the other hand.....
car sounds great
Damn man those numbers seem almost unbelievable! Car sounds pretty damn good we should meet up and do a little racing PSI has some ridiculous cars over there supercharged this, turboed that.

when I was there a car showed up on a trailer. it was a 69 Z28 with a 565 all aluminum BBC, EFI, 2 sets of injectors one 165 lb the other 95 lb, and a HUGE F3 procharger driven straight off the crank. the car that dynoed before me was a 93 LX fox body with a 434 SBC, brodix heads, huge dominator carb and a nasty solid roller cam that laid down 560 rwhp through a power glide. in the garage was a 05+ style mustang GT that had a 3v with forged internals, fully ported heads, and the east coast's only 3.4L whipple on a 3v 4.6 that had to use a custom sheet metal intake. owner said it was making mid 600s on pump gas before and with a few changes he is expecting to make close to 800 rwhp. there was an LT1 trans am with a t76 turbo and a nice FMIC, a mach 1 with a kennebell, all kinds of nice toys. my car was probably the slowest one there lol.
How do you like that stall for driving on the street? Is it good or is it on the loose side? I have been considering a PT4000 Yank for my car. Shoot me a PM if you don't mind. Congrats on the numbers
I think the stall will be better with gears. if I just give it normal throttle it will stay around 2500 rpm. if I have to give it more gas or go up a long hill it will go up to 3000 rpm or so. it is loose but I dont mind. it becomes apparent when you give it more gas and the rear end is skating all over why I have such a big stall
Sounds pretty good to me, especially for being on 2.73 gears. My 3400 Fuddle I currently have behaves pretty much identical to what you just described. That's with 3.42 gears too. When are you changing your gears? I would like to hear about it after you do the gears.

Awesome numbers man, I think these lt1 heads flow a lot more than people give them credit for, I swear my 224/230 lt1 is faster than my ls6 N/A
Nice to see the LT still representin'

Those are some very good #s, I myself am not surprized at the loss of HP from the stock airbox, you won't see those gains on a stock engine going to an aftermarket box, but from what you've done, the stock box was way too restrictive & wasn't cutting the mustard anymore, i'll bet from your VG valve job (most likely they had a back-cut too) & bowl work (thats were the main gains are), & that larger cam, you netted good #s, no surprize there neither, just goes to show what can be done. congrats on those great #s .

Awesome numbers. And I agree with your choice of cam size. Go big or go home. Alot of people here are just scared to run them. You just proved them wrong with their teeney weeney cam. Congrats Zigroid.

Yeah a set of 3.73 would really compliment that stall and the overall set up.
