Lt1 vs C5 ZO6

well this past weekend i got into a little something with a c5 Z06 2002 -04 (cant remember the exact year he said) very nice car none to less. Well the guy called me out at the spot that a bunch of us go with cars to hang out. i wanted to go from a dig but with no dr's on we settled for a 40mph roll.

his car was a 6 speed and iam auto so no i wasnt feeling the roll at all

but i said what the hell way not...i pulled the car down into 2nd and let her at it, i right away pulled 1 car on him and pulled about another car or car and half by the time we hit about 100 or so and then shut down around 120-130

i think the guy was pretty surprised that i won being only 18 years old and putting it to a 50,000 dollar car lol...plus lt1s are slow anyway

all in all it was a good night of fun and noone got hurt so thats even better just thought i would share a lt1 kill with all the die heart lt1 lovers out there

i know this is not the section but i thought more lt1 lovers would see it in here

i havnt run the car at the track yet..hopefully soon tho lol

You will get bitched out if you post that in the kills section. A lot of vette owners and ls1 guys get angry when you point out the price of a car.
But hell, thats the main reason I went with an lt1 car, the quickest car I can get for the money I have into it.

Good kill though. Im twenty and wish I could afford to mod my car to do what yours did.

a properly driven c5z06 will run high 11s. They typically will trap 114+mph range.

I don't know your mods, so I won't pass judgement, but many others wil..

We are talkin about C5 Z06's with the LS1, not C6 Z06's with the LS7... And if im not mistaken, dont the C6 Z's trap somethin like 120 in the mid 11sec range? And C5 Z's are like 12.9-13.0 around 104-105? Both cars in great runnin condition and excellent drivers of course...

No, c5 z car's can fly. You just quoted a stock/ish LS1 fbody time.

Z's I'd say low 12s at 115mph seems fair. Doubt anyone is going to hook 11s esp on the street anyhow (stock).

Huh, well stock Z28's are what 13.3ish stock so figured SS is 13.0-13.1. Didnt think Z06's were almost a second faster with same motor/trans combo as a SS.

lol i get that alot..but i can thank happy harrys and 7.25hr pay check after pay check and i mean pay check after pay check...but i guess its all wroth it when something like that happens u know lol
