One nice thing about the Fleetwood over the other b-bodies is the ABS is 4-channel so no ABS reluctor at the pinion to deal with. If it is a rare tow package car those came with 3.42s and a 7000lbs tow rating.

It's NOT a tow package car--- but it does have a factory moonroof...
I have a set of 3.73 gears that were too steep for the Impala but they have the reluctor.... I hope they'll work????

I've always been a sucker for the slab sides.... Finally found one cheap enough...

Sell the reluctor, pretty sure I know someone who wants one, maybe we can meet at GLD.

The tow package was the gears and the mechanical cooling fan. If it were mine I would do the gears and go ahead and set it up to tow the Impala if need be. The mechanical fan SUCKS it serves two main purposes, one it sucks up like 10hp and two it makes the car sound like a taxiing airplane. Everything else about the car makes it so quiet you can forget it is running the the clutch on the mechanical fans it way too tight and they LOUD even at a cold idle because of it. The electrics do the job fine anyway.
A friend lives down on I think it is "H"(same town you are in from memory) and his wife drives a Fleetwood, only car I ever parked next to that made my cars look small. Those things are technically a d-body which is 13 inches longer than the b-bodies, think 5 inches of that is in the wheelbase. Just huge.

I have the 3.73 as well as a new unused GM posi center section that I was hoping to use in the car (kinda helped with my decision to buy it) if I can't use it it will all be for sale for $150 obo.

The Imp is not mine--- it belongs to a good friend (and he drives it--- no trailers here unless it breaks!)

The posi and gears will work just fine. The ABS reluctor is just unnecessary. The other b-bodies had a 3 channel system with the pinion mount reluctor, the fleetwood has 4channel with the reluctors out by the wheels.

Fleetwoods are badass. I wouldn't be going the performance route if I bought one.

Eddie... that is quite possibly the gayest Caddy I've seen... And I've seen a fare share >_>

Nickate: I think it's a no brainer to slap the "Cadillac Cam" in it lol What's the weight of the Cadillac dressed B-Body anyways?

Yea, but I think my door sticker on my Firebird says 4000lbs :\ They generally tip the scale @ 3700~ right? So would it be fair to assume 4100~ for the Caddy?

No you are looking at the wrong number. I said curb weight not GVWR.
Curb weight on a Camaro is 3466.

Curb weight on a Caprice sedan is 4060, mine with low fuel, basically stock, empty trunk on little 15" rubber was 4080. More recently on bigger rubber, well modded, me it in and some DD stuff in the trunk was 4320. My wagon which is something like 4470 base curb was 4920 with me and some cargo.

You can find a lot of this stuff on the Edmunds website, gives you factory specs as opposed to some dimwit on the internet who doesn't understand anything.

Base curb weight is an empty car with only standard features, no cargo, no driver, no optional equipment. Options along can jack up that number fast. From a 96 Caprice wagon to a 96 Roadmaster wagon there is a 99lbs. difference in base curb weight. Same car, just has more standard equipment.

Well given that I don't check my door sticker.... well but probably twice... I thought there was Curb and Gross weight numbers on it.
