ram clutch or spec 3 which one is better what do yall think my friend should buy for his lt1 camaro z28 he has 410 gears ported heads and cam, and full exhaust
I personally like the spec clutches allthough I've never had any experience with the Ram clutches. Some people have issues with spec but typically it's people who don't break it in right and/or don't know how to correctly drive an M6. I've had a spec 3 and it was super stiff but I really liked it. I've got the same clutch for sale, along with a billet steel spec flywheel. The clutch and flywheel have 29 miles on them and look great. Tell your friend to check this thread. Perf. Partout, LE2, LE cam, 4.10's, suspension, 42lb svo's, t56, much more

So he wants to pay full price for a new clutch instead of getting a discount on a 29 mile clutch? If that's what he insist I can't make him buy it but it's pointless. Just wasting extra money.

lol yeah ur right......he wanted to know why u taking everything out
Spec 3 here! As stated above, most of the problems that occur with spec clutches are due to improper break-in. Just make sure to NOT slip the clutch for the first 500mi, then youll be golden!

i have a ram hd clutch in my car and its anything but stiff... closer to what stock is like... but i have no complaints about it.. .mine has oil contamination on it and it still holds enough to burn out big 315's out back....
We run the ram clutches in our stuff. The quality is top notch. If you ask twenty guys which clutch to run you'll get twenty different answers. The best thing you can Do is talk to somebody at RAM and SPEC and be completely honest about combination, torque requirements, type of driving and driving style. They will help you pick out the best clutch for your application.

I hated my Spec Stg. 2. Never had experience with the Stg.3 though. As for the Ram I have had a HDX and an HD and they both drive perfect in the city for a DD and grab like hell! Call up Scoggin Dickey, they always give me the best prices on clutches.
