I'm still thinking it's something for the Air Bags..the Wiring colors are the same as all the circuits for the Air Bags..

that what i was thinking too. Especially the yellow wires. But he said it was wedged. No screws and no plugs going to it.

yup nothing, no plug for it or signs that is should be there. I've taken out the pass airbag anyways. Since I've taken the pass airbag out im guessing I can leave out the air bag module (box)?

Thanks
Guys

it def not te passenger airbag module. It is a est. 5x6x1 silver box with two yellow clips coming out of it. i just looked at it. In the pic i posted it is laying on the tranny humpon the bottom right with a white sticker on it. The sticker has a bar code printed on it as well

I agree with merv, I believe it's for the passenger side airbag in some way but can't be to for sure. I just gutted my complete dash and didn't have anything like that what's so every. You can check over shbox's site but I looked on there and didn't see anything that looked like that either. I mean hell it looks like a modified electrical box, with a wiring harness coming out of it, lol! Get rid of it if it doesn't affect anything! Hell I have absolutely nothing under my dash and it runs fine!

I'm pretty sure that each air bag has there own module So you can simply remove the passenger side, If your removing stuff, from my personnal experience don't forget to take the relays off of the airbag bracket and plug them back in, one's for the VATS system, another for the rear hatch opener and the other I can't remember off the top of my head....Your car will not start at the key with the vats removed, loL! Like I said after my 355 rebuild and gutting my car and 4 months into this project I was at the point ot start the car and of course I removed pretty much everything and NO START! Just warning you to watch what you remove and good luck!

Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it.

I've left all the relays in so I think I'll be good to go. I Should have it done in a few days just awaiting the bmr delete panel.

I know how it is to tare shit apart and then wonder, huh, do I need this and then scrap it and see what happens. That's what happens when you just dive right in and tackle the job yourself being a virgin....Hell I know I couldn't afford to have anyone do the work for me so, I respect anyone that does all there own work just like I do and come out on top, so good on you!

That looks like something I used to have on an aftermarket radio that I had in another car. I don't know what it did but it looks similar.

^ the piece you are talking about for the aftermarket radio was a anti theft module. When they are disconnected/vehicle stolen they can be activated so they can be found.

I've got it! Its the fabled secret squirrel fuel economy booster box! Your car would have gotten 100+ MPGs if that badboy was hooked up!!

J/K, on a serious note though my friend did the plugs on his Wife's Colorado the other day, I shit you not someone stuck a tornado in there, and it was lodged in there sideways. Talk about a gimmicky piece of crap doing a lot of harm, not much air could have been getting past that piece of awesomeness!

I've torn my dash out probably 3 times within the last 2 months and haven't see anything that looked like that.
