He can react all he wants..I'm willing to bet any one of us would have a little bit of a turtle head when the Engne all of the sudden picks up revs without the Pedal..yea if mine did it I would instantly put it in neutral and shut it down, but still I'd be WTF'n it for a sec..lol

They are still around on ebay but usually for a premium price. Think I paid $80 for mine a couple of years ago. Sold my trick flow to cover most of the cost.
About a month ago an early 2000 Cadillac car came into the shop. One of the techs took it for a test drive. Along the way the throttle got stuck open and took off hard. He threw it in neutral and it banged off the rev limiter a few times before he shut it off. Brought it back in the shop and found a cap from your average spray paint can stuck in the throttle blade. He was using it for the intake like others do. And I'm not shitting you, he had two pages of magazine paper also covering the hole with a hose clamp holding it down. Talk about ghetto.

Sniff..Sniff..you guys smell that.. I smell jealousy..
This guy can't get my car out of his mind..I think he wants a LSX cause his SR setup is a dog..
Can't leave well enough alone..
Maybe the mods that are supposively around here will give you a hint of politeness..I think hell will freeze over before that though.
But yea back to the topic..
The back-firing was to the extra air coming in behind the MAF, my LT1 did that one time..the donkey dick fell off and it ran like crap..really rich.
Sniff..Sniff..you guys smell that.. I smell jealousy..
Jealous of a LSx that should have been much faster? I think not.
Only reason why I mention that is you of all people shouldn't talk shit about what is ghetto.

Tell ya what..if everything goes right(weather..etc) I'm going to Memphis 1/4 Mile on the 14th of Nov here. Bring your ass on down and see how ghetto it is.
I'll be on my 26" MT ET Streets, Spooled 3.89's, my personally Built T56 with a good Clutch, and a scuffed Ghetto 10.9:1 L92 Headed all-motor 408ci LQ4 infront of it.
I'd be a good time..stick car vs. stick car..so come on down and see if your car can out-run the shit your fingers type here.
I doubt it went into the manifold, but if it did, it's probably stuck in the plenum or a runner.
If you're convinced that it's in there, you can always pull the manifold and check.
I don't see it getting past the intake valve.
FWIW, I've seen stuff get sucked into intakes, it usually jams in the butterfly and makes
for one hell of a high RPM ride until you turn the key off.
