LS1 Air Lid Dyno Numbers with Before/After comparison!
Before I installed my LS1 Air Lid setup I had the Stock 97 LT1 Ram Air SS Intake...I dyno'd with that setup and the results were:
401 RWHP/373 RWTQ
I installed my LS1 Air Lid about 4 months ago and since then noticed a significant gain in torque, but wasnt sure how much...I dyno'd my car today and here are the new numbers:
411 RWHP/390 RWTQ
the ONLY difference in the 2 runs was the LS1 Air Lid. No engine/drivetrain changes. This was with an SLP Air Lid and K&N Filter.
I gained 10 RWHP and 17 RWTQ.
Track numbers will have to wait until next season though Sorry guys.

very good gain, even comming from a Ram air setup. over a stock non ram air type im sure its even bigger gain.
question, do you have a/c? do you have a trans cooler? Im fighting with myself because my trans cooler is right in the way of my Ls1 lid blocking alot of flow. Any solutions?

the dyno has an effect as well. It could have had a program update or diffrent operator. temp way to many diffrences to say if the lid itself made more power. A ram air set-up in real world terms will make more power i would think.

Not on the dyno...the ram air is at a disadvantage on the dyno for 1 because the car isnt moving so its not getting the air it would normally get....plus the ram air had alot of heat soak. My IAT's dropped significantly when I installed the LS1 Air Lid setup.
The Dyno was the same, operator was the same, and temp was only about 5 degrees cooler than my first dyno. It was nice and warm yesterday.
I still have A/C but I do not have a trans cooler.

glad to see a before and after dyno test. I hate seeing people say there is not gain.
IDK how the *** anyone could possibly not see the gain in replacing a air intake without 3 bends in it with a short stright one. Esp will the airflow from the air dam we have
