Hey, im really new here and have no idea what i am doing.. this is my first post..
Im getting a 1996 z28, and i am wondering what kind of mods i could do... it already has a catback flowmaster 80 series exhaust and a custom cold air intake.
i was looking to get some pacesetter long tube headers (what do you guys think about those? what are better for the price) along with the y pipe. also an ss ram air intake hood with the ram air box. i am still kind of new to camaros (i was obsessed with the vr4's but i dont have that kinda money) could some one maybe give me a good step by step on what i should do?? also what are ORY's? and what does a stall do? (sorry.. i know those are some stupid questions)
'96 TA, NA solid roller 383", LT4 heads & intake. 508 rwhp, torque number is bogus (like 580) due to converter flash, through an unlocked 4400 converter & 4.30 Moser 12 bolt. Didn't have time to put it back together until it was over 90 deg. Oklahoma sumers are just wonderful. Went 10.33 @ 129.70 in 3000' air. Can't wait for some decent air to run it in. Maybe 10.flat? Hope so. Still testing & tweaking.

Now 350" NHRA/IHRA SS/JA. Well, maybe it's not the SLOWEST on the planet: 10.14 @ 129.55, 1.296 60' (11.30 Index) But still not fast enough.

Nice numbers! I assume those are with stock heads right?
Yes Metalbeast these numbers are with stock heads. I have a guy selling me some ported heads with 2.00,1.60 valves for $200. What kind of gains can i hope to see?

Conservatively, I would say 20 RWHP easily. Possibly 30-35 with a good tune.

Both runs touched the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift ever so slightly. For some reason, my trans is slow going into 3rd if I start from a dig. However, if I am already moving, it will shift just fine at wot. It also shifts fine and solid at part throttle. I don't get it. I suppose there is an 11 in this car if I could solve that problem.
Made two runs out at TX Motorplex in Ennis when I first bought it and missed 3-4 shift both times! I think I pulled 14.4's out of both of 'em with horrible 60'.

Mine too, but Its not slight in mine. Its a hard hit on the limiter a about 4 times. Weird... I have heard of this "stall wall" problem, but havn't seen how to fix it.
